I am no expert on these machines, nor an optical technician, but will answer any questions to the best of my ability. One of the plastic tabs on printer door hinge is broken, but does stay in place when closed. I do not have any thermal paper to test out the printer, but printer sounds like it is running when select print button see video. I tested the unit on a pair of bifocal reading glasses, ran through several functions MENU screen and was able to scroll pages navigate them successfully.
Please see the attached video of me operating unit and for yourself. This unit has been tested and is working to the degree that I know how test it.
